    Videographer & Editor

    We are looking for a talented and creative Multimedia Officer (Videographer & Editor) to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in capturing, producing, and editing compelling video content that showcases One Ummah’s humanitarian work both in the UK and overseas.

    One Ummah is a faith-based international relief and development agency, working in over 18 countries worldwide on programmes such as Water & Sanitation, Food, Education, Orphans Support, Healthcare, Shelter, income generation and Emergency Disaster Relief.

    JOB SUMMARY

    We are looking for a talented and creative Multimedia Officer (Videographer & Editor) to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in capturing, producing, and editing compelling video content that showcases One Ummah’s humanitarian work both in the UK and overseas.

    This position involves hands-on videography, editing, storytelling, and digital content management. The successful candidate will be required to travel nationally and internationally to document One Ummah’s projects, fieldwork, and events — creating emotionally impactful stories that inspire support, donations, and awareness

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS
    Creative Coordinator, Head of Marketing, Staff, and OU service providers.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Multimedia Officer:

    Videography & Content Creation

    • Capture high-quality video footage of One Ummah’s activities, campaigns, and beneficiary stories across the UK and overseas.

    • Conduct on-location filming during international deployments, humanitarian missions, and national charity events.

    • Operate and maintain professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.

    • Plan, storyboard, and execute video shoots with creativity and attention to detail.

    • Conduct interviews with beneficiaries, staff, and partners while maintaining cultural and ethical sensitivity.

    • Manage logistics of filming trips including permissions, travel, and coordination with local teams.

    Video Editing & Post-Production

    • Edit raw footage into engaging, emotionally resonant stories aligned with One Ummah’s brand and mission.

    • Perform colour correction, sound design, and motion graphics to produce polished final videos.

    • Adapt content for different platforms — including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, website, and internal use.

    • Maintain consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all video content.

    • Manage, organise, and archive video assets and ensure footage is securely backed up and catalogued.

    • Upload, tag, and manage video content across digital platforms.

    Campaign & Marketing Support

    • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications teams to develop creative video campaigns for fundraising and awareness.

    • Attend and film UK-based charity events, fundraisers, and community activities to generate promotional content.

    • Support the design and rollout of digital campaigns through video content tailored for different audiences and demographics.

    • Provide short-form and long-form content suitable for social media, donor reports, and internal communications.

    • Capture and edit content in fast turnaround situations (e.g., live events, appeals, emergencies).

    Equipment & Technical Management

    • Oversee and maintain videography and editing equipment to ensure readiness for filming.

    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to filming, audio, or editing software.

    • Stay updated with the latest industry tools, filming trends, and social media video formats.

    Collaboration & Representation

    • Work respectfully within diverse cultural contexts during international deployments.

    • Represent One Ummah professionally while filming abroad and interacting with field teams and beneficiaries.

    • Uphold the highest standards of ethical storytelling, ensuring dignity and respect in all portrayals.

    The ideal candidate for the content writer position will showcase the essential administrative, professional, and technical skills and experience required for the role.

    Qualifications:

    ▪ Valid UK Driving License (D)

    ▪ Educated to University Level (E)

    Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

    ▪ Minimum 2-3 years of professional videography and editing experience (E)

    ▪ Proven experience in filming humanitarian, charity, or documentary-style projects (D)

    ▪ Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro (E)

    ▪ Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio capture (E)

    ▪ Experience with international or remote location filming (D)

    ▪ Excellent storytelling and creative direction skills (E)

    ▪ Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for composition, colour, and sound (E)

    ▪ Experience managing and archiving large volumes of footage (E)

    ▪ Familiarity with drone videography and photography (D)

    ▪ Knowledge of social media video formats and trends (E)

    ▪ Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills (E)
