Countless innocent people worldwide face a chilling battle for survival every winter. Men, women and children in dire need of warm clothing, food and shelter. One Ummah sent our ambassador, Yusuf Chambers, across the globe to deliver crucial winter aid.
Over 1 billion people around the world, including 220 million children, are at risk of dying from cold-related illnesses every winter. These innocent people live in areas with harsh winters where they must fend for themselves in the most extreme temperatures and conditions, knowing each day could be their last.
In Yemen, they are facing a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions, with millions displaced. Over 80% of Gaza is in need of urgent aid. Afghanistan is in the middle of a political and economic collapse. One Ummah is saving lives by distributing critical winter aid in these calamity-stricken countries among others.
The bitter cold of winter claims the lives of many, especially children. Makeshift tents are no match for the extreme conditions, leaving families huddling together for warmth. Blankets, bedding and clothing are in short supply, and children are forced to risk disease by walking barefoot in the icy-cold temperatures.
