Hot Meals
Before you leave your daughter’s room, you check that her blanket is covering her properly and the window is closed. Knowing she is warm helps you settle down for the night. Other parents want that same warmth for their children.
One Ummah recorded 84,350 beneficiaries across six countries and regions in winter 2025/26. This season, our Winter Appeal 2026 continues that practical care: £100 can provide a winter pack containing blankets, warm clothing and bedding.
Parents who have been displaced want their children to be warm and safe, but keeping the cold out is much harder in a poor temporary shelter. They still have children to tuck in and look after, with fewer things to help them do it. A blanket or a change of warm clothing can be something they need for that care.
The Winter Appeal supports families facing cold weather alongside poverty, conflict or displacement. Our campaign focuses on countries like Gaza, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan, where families’ circumstances and winter needs differ. Someone living in damaged accommodation may need bedding, while a household struggling with food costs may need help providing meals.
Your Sadaqah can help with these practical needs. Think of the care you give a child or an older relative when the temperature drops, and the preparations you make before a cold night. Giving through the Winter Appeal 2026 allows you to contribute towards essentials for another household, respecting the care its members are already giving one another.

The Prophet Muhammadﷺ said:
““The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.””
Be Their Blanket is an invitation to help with something a family can use at night. Blankets and bedding are part of the published winter-pack option. When a household has limited money or has lost possessions through displacement, assistance with these items can make preparing somewhere to sleep a little easier.
Be Their Meal recognises that families still need food while managing the extra costs of winter. Through the Winter Appeal 2026, £10 can contribute towards a hot meal for a family of five, and £40 can provide essential food supplies for a family. These are separate choices, with different forms of support.
Be Their Shelter brings attention to the conditions in which people are staying and the essentials they need there. The £100 winter pack contains blankets, warm clothing and bedding. These essentials can help parents keep their children warm in temporary or damaged accommodation while they work out where their family can live.
For a child who needs warmer clothes, £30 can provide essential winter clothing. Choose the help you want to support, with an amount that fits your budget. The Winter Appeal 2026 offers several ways to contribute, and you can also give a custom amount towards the campaign.
Alhamdulillah, by Allah’s Fadl and Rahmah, One Ummah recorded 84,350 beneficiaries across six countries and regions in 2025/26. Your donations helped provide winter assistance during that season. That work included winter kits and meals, helping households with the extra costs and practical needs of the season.
The recorded work included 900 winter kits reaching 4,500 beneficiaries in Bangladesh, winter support including hot meals for 19,215 beneficiaries in Syria, and winter packs for 9,750 beneficiaries in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. In Pakistan, the programme recorded 2,500 beneficiaries receiving winter assistance.
The needs this season will not be identical for every household or country. What remains is the practical purpose of the appeal: helping people obtain meals and winter essentials while they continue caring for their families. Give with that purpose in mind and ask Allah to make the assistance useful to those receiving it.
In the Hadeeth recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari 6011, the Prophet ﷺ describes the believers’ mutual compassion through the example of one body. Another family’s difficulty has a place within our concern, even when we do not know their names or share the same weather outside our homes.
Supporting the Winter Appeal 2026 is one practical response. A parent can use a blanket to cover their child, or warm clothing to help them through the day. Give seeking Allah’s acceptance, with Du’a for the people receiving assistance and hope for reward in the Akhirah.
As you make Du’a for your own family, remember parents trying to keep theirs warm. Ask Allah to grant them protection and ease, and give what you can to help with the means available.
If you are choosing a gift with your children, you can talk about the things they use when it is cold: the clothes they put on, the food they eat and the bedding you prepare for them. Choose a practical form of help together.
One-off and monthly giving are available. Choose the published option that matches your intention, or contribute another amount. Under One Ummah’s 100% donation policy, designated gifts support the project, including delivery costs. Core costs are funded separately; external processing fees may apply before receipt.
