Sadaqah in Dhul Hijjah is among the most beloved deeds to Allah. Discover why charity in these blessed ten days carries multiplied rewards, how it compares to other seasons, and which acts of Sadaqah to prioritise.
Sadaqah in Dhul Hijjah carries a spiritual weight unlike any other time of year. The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are described in the Qur'an and the hadith as the most beloved days to Allah, and every good deed performed during this time carries a reward far greater than on ordinary days. If there was ever a moment to give to those in need, this is it.
While Sadaqah is always virtuous, Sadaqah in Dhul Hijjah is unique because Allah (SWT) swears by these ten days in the Qur’an (Surah al-Fajr).
Understanding the weight of your deeds during these ten days helps us prioritize our worship. Here is how your efforts are multiplied:
Sadaqah (Charity)
Outside these days: You receive a standard multiplied reward (up to 700x).
Inside Dhul Hijjah: Your donation becomes 'Most Beloved' to Allah (SWT)
Fasting
1. Sadaqah Jariyah - Invest in a well or a Waqf (endowment) that brings you rewards long after you are gone.
2.Helping the Vulnerable - Support female-headed households, the elderly, or children in conflict zones.
May Allah (SWT) forgive us and grant us consistency both inside and outside of sacred seasons of worship. Ameen.
Many of us wait for Ramadan to increase our giving, yet the Prophet (peace be upon him) told us that no days are greater in the sight of Allah than these ten. Every act of worship carried out during this period carries an exceptional weight, and charity sits at the very top of that list.
At One Ummah, we make it straightforward for you to give during these precious days. You can support a water well, fund an orphan, or contribute to our ongoing sadaqah fund, knowing your donation reaches those in greatest need. Do not let these ten days pass without acting on the intention in your heart.
