Lebanon continues to face a severe humanitarian emergency. The Lebanon Response Plan 2026 says 2.99 million people are in need, and 1.5 million people are being targeted for support. A March 2026 UNFPA situation report says over 1 million people have self-registered as displaced, with more than 133,000 people staying in 631 government-designated collective sites.
That means many families are living with fear, crowding and very limited access to daily essentials. Children, older people, refugees and low-income households are among those hit hardest.
